We love the size of our living room and the huge back doors and windows it has. However, the colors and flooring are not quite what we want. The carpet even smells a bit. M&M to the rescue! Disclaimer: This room is not finished yet but just giving an intro to it.

As you can see, this is when we were first moving in. Sorry for the focus on the vacuum cleaner in the pics haha that wasn’t on purpose.
We decided to go a little more neutral and paint the cabinets and the fireplace a bright white.
This is all we have so far in the living room but stay tuned for changes soon! We plan to paint and floor it similar to the master bedroom.

Looks good without the school bus yellow! I recognize some of the artifacts!

Thanks! 🙂 I’m not against using yellow in decorating, I like it in fact, but just not the way that the previous owners did it. It seemed to take away from the vibrancy of our artifacts. And yep, many of the same ones. Many given to us by some very special people. 🙂

The house was very much different back only about a year ago. One thing hasn’t changed – Margaret still isn’t into yellow! lol it’s okay love 🙂
